Client notes

Evidence from recent consulting work. Each note names a specific consultation and outcome—not marketplace star widgets.

“They made us list the warehouse ‘goods received’ event before touching the finance API. That single insistence cut two weeks of thrash we had already spent arguing about field names.”

Claire Benton · Operations lead, regional distribution group · Internal API integration engagement

“The inventory review was blunt about our cron scripts. Useful, though I wish they had flagged the legacy SOAP hop earlier—we had to extend the calendar by three days once it surfaced.”

Marcus Hale · Engineering manager, membership services · Connector inventory review

“The auth workshop forced security and the CRM owner into the same room. We left with scopes written down; the adapters finally stopped guessing.”

Sofia Rahman · Security liaison, mid-size retailer · Auth and contract workshop

“After the health check we knew which hop dropped messages when the ERP batch ran late. The fix was ours to ship, but the diagnosis was specific enough to act on.”

Tom Ellery · IT service owner, logistics · Integration health check

Extended note: goods received to finance

A regional distributor needed warehouse receipts to reach finance without another shared table. Discovery named the goods-received event, mapped two hops, and agreed mandatory fields before adapters were written. Cutover ran on a Saturday morning; one retry owner was named in the handover. The team still runs the adapters; we were not retained for operations.
