Internal API integration engagement
We sit with the owners of each system, read the existing interfaces, and design the integration path between them. The engagement ends with working adapters or contract-ready stubs, sequence diagrams your engineers can defend, and a written handover—not a black-box platform you rent forever.
Who it is for
Operations and engineering leads who already run internal systems—ERP, CRM, warehouse, finance, or custom line-of-business tools—and need those systems to exchange reliable payloads without hiring a permanent integration team.
What you leave with
A documented connector map, agreed request/response contracts, adapters or stubs matching those contracts, test fixtures your team can re-run, and a plain-language handover covering failure modes, credentials placement, and who owns each hop.
Included
- Discovery workshops with system owners (remote or at your premises in the UK)
- Inventory of existing endpoints, message formats, and auth methods
- Draft and revised API contracts for each hop on the path
- Implementation of agreed adapters or contract stubs in the stack you already use
- Handover pack: diagrams, run notes, and optional entry of integration event labels into the local tracking utility on a machine you control
Not included
- Rewriting entire applications or replacing your ERP
- 24/7 managed operations or hosting of your traffic
- Purchasing third-party iPaaS licences on your behalf
- Legal advice on data-processing agreements
Who works with you
Senior integration consultants based in the United Kingdom, paired with a second reviewer on engagements that cross more than four systems.
How the engagement runs
- You send a short list of systems, owners, and the business events that must cross the gap.
- We run discovery sessions, read sample payloads, and propose a connector path with clear ownership.
- Contracts are agreed; adapters or stubs are built against fixtures your team can inspect.
- Handover and a short knowledge-transfer call close the engagement; ongoing changes stay with your staff unless you commission a follow-on review.
Where
Discovery may be on site in the United Kingdom or remote. Correspondence uses the listed Hammerpot office address. Build work runs against repositories and environments you control.
What to prepare
Nominate an owner per system. Provide sandbox credentials or recorded sample traffic where policy allows. Identify one business event that must succeed end-to-end as the first milestone.
Limits we will not pretend away
We do not take custody of production secrets beyond the window needed to prove a hop. Change freezes, regulated data classes, and vendor NDAs may lengthen the calendar. Work already started on a wrong contract is rebuilt only by agreement.
